Tangents of Change is a social awareness initiative of the Department of Mathematics, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru.
Tangents are lines that touch a curve at exactly one single point. Although its role may seem insignificant, a tangent can provide a lot of information about the curve. The tangent, thus, makes a substantial difference despite touching the curve simply at a point.
Inspired by this idea, at Tangents of Change, we hope to create a sense of social awareness among students and help initiate meaningful actions in society. A monthly theme will be released by the Department and will streamline the flow of ideas, activities and consequently, its practical implementation.
Just like tangents, we hope to touch someone’s lives, even if it is for a brief moment in time and make the world a better place!
